Blue Skyes is Unanimous Champion at the Daffodil Spring Show

Congratulations to John & JoReen Givens of Kennewick, WA on winning the Pink Ribbon, double judged, Half Arab Western Pleasure Open class at the Daffodil Spring show! This year, for the first time, the Daffodil club supported cancer research by adding several Pink ribbon class' to there show, along with a drawing for a $1000.00 Show Seasons gift certificate. Each class was dedicated to a loved one that has either passed away from cancer or is continuing to fight it. All the sweeter, the class that Blue Skyes won was dedicated to Ron's late sister Dawn Frost. Ron's mom and step dad, Hal and Neva Gatenby were the presenters along with Carol and Jamie Tedrick, and Carrie and Kyra Copple. Along with Ribbons John and JoReen won $500.00 in show bucks, coolers and other assorted gifts. Thanks so much to the Daffodil club for there efforts at raising money to cure cancer!

Scottsdale Signature Stallion Class Winners

In one of the most successful prize money programs in Arabian horse history, the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Service Auction has provided many a horse owner and breeder with big checks to take home since its inception seven years ago. This year was no different.

At this year's show, the largest performance classes were the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Western Pleasure Futurity with 31 entries and the Hunter Pleasure Futurity with 29 entries. Ron Copple, aboard John and Judy Mittenthal's Mancini Bey SMF (Brandon Bey JCA X Marrissah), took home the championship in the Western Pleasure class, while Liz Bentley was champion in the Hunter Pleasure with San Carlos Jullyen V (Jullyen El Jamaal X Sweet Caroline V), Graycor Farms' entry. In the English Pleasure class, Joel Kiesner rode KD Expression Heir (IXL Noble Express X Eliza LA) to the victory for Bridget and Katie Atwood. Each of the champions won $17,845.00.
